The sustainability of the translation field
The 12th International Conference on Translation (PPA) is a biennial conference which was held for the first time held in 1984 through the initiatives of the Malaysian Translators Association (MTA) and Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP), with the awareness that translation is crucial in knowledge transfer.
This 12th International Conference on Translation will be held in Penang, Malaysia from 18-20 August 2009. Universiti Sains Malaysia has been chosen to be the host this time, together with the Malaysian Translators Association, the Malaysian National Institute of Translation and Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka as the co-organizers, under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Education.
