2009 International Conference on Translation and Popular Culture
The 2009 International Conference on Translation and Popular Culture offers a forum for those interested in the people, events and other factors contributing to cultural fusion, taking a particularly close look at “what’s hot” in the USA, Japan and other influential cultural geographies. Presentations and discussion are invited on all aspects of global modern culture, including language and literature, film, the worldwide web and other media, as well as trends in food, fashion, travel and other aspects of daily life. The role of translation in connecting cultures, while preserving individual differences and characteristics, will also be discussed.
