The Professional Market (10 hours). What Is Translation?; Text and Brief; Translator-Client Relations.
Electronic Tools (15 hours). Revision Tools; Internet Searches and Resources; Terminology Management Tools; Translation Memories (SDL Trados, DéjàVu).
Translation Strategies (15 hours). Translation Techniques; Parallel Texts; Terminology Mining; Practical Considerations.
Final Projects (10 hours). Large translation projects to be carried out by the course participants, which will be expected to put into practice what they have learned in the translation assignments of the previous modules.
